I have never had an issue with it, it will record as long as you have the hard drive space. It defaults to use your OS drive (documents/video folder),. Might want to ensure you have the space for it. You also have to set it to record background and desktop (possibly windowed mode, can't remember off the top of my head), it defaults to fullscreens only.

However, I have not had to use it the last 2 driver releases, so it is very possible it is broken now. I will test it tonight when I get home from work. (,About 10th hours from now) and let you know.
 
I used to get the flicker then stops after a few secs... tho its been a while. I believe its a software issue with AMD. I had it happen in one system and not in another... same driver. Try reverting back to an older driver... hopefully a newer set will resolve for yeah.

Could some other program be the reason?
