Rage Pro Turbo AGP 2x english??

Someone gave me an old HP that has a Rage Pro Turbo AGP 2x English card in it.
However every time I click on a game as simple as Hoyles puzzle games the computer restarts.
Can this card be upgraded? If so how and where. I wanted to be able to give the computer to someone who needs it but if they can't even play a simple game what god is it?
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

I forgot to say that it has win 98 se on it. 96 megs os ram and a 12 gig HDD. I don't know what CPU. It's a HP Pavilion 6470Z. I didn't get any other information on it.

Updating the drivers might fix the problems, latest ATI ones for Win98SE are available for download here:
