Hi everyone... great forum.
I have this Rage Pro LT card that I've pulled from another computer. The computer that it came from is a Dell OptiPlex GX1 with Windows 2000. The card is (I believe) one of the first All In Wonder series, as it has coax and AV in, and AV out, in addition to VGA.
I installed in in my Dell OptiPlex GX150 with XP Pro. Downloaded the drivers from the ATI website -- they're the ones that are the "alternate driver" from the site, as they say XP includes the drivers. Well, the XP included ones don't support the AV functions.
Reboot XP, and it detects the card and installs all of the appropriate drivers for the different parts of the card (TunerCapture, etc). I also installed the ATI Multimedia Center for TV capture. When I start the TV app, it works, but only for sound. The video is all black. No snow, nothing. I've tried my hard-wired coax from my house, and also some "rabbit ears" that I found laying around. I don't even get static. I can tune all of my cable channels and get the sound, but only black for video.
I'm guessing there's some issue with WIndows XP. My friend has the same card in a Compaq Presario with 2000, and it works fine. So... do I need to put it in the Dell again and use 2000? I'd rather not - the Dell is much faster and has a CD burner for recording my shows.
Thanks!!
