Radeon AIW problems

I just got the Radeon AIW and installed it and it appears ok except for 2 things:

1. I tried to run the TV tuner software that came with the card and my machine locks up. This happens every single time I run the TV software. The WebTV software that comes with Win98 works fine.

2. TV output at 800x600 resolution is awful. Weird fuzzy things floating around the screen. I didn't see this problem with my Rage Fury 128. 640x480 mode works fine.

Here are my specs:

Win98 SE
SoundBlaster Live Value (latest drivers)
128 megs memory
AIW Radeon with 4.12.3056


Any ideas how to fix this?
 
Well I upgraded to the special purpose drivers (4.12.3063) and now TV-in works fine.

Unfortunately TV-out seems to be disabled in this version as its not even an option on the Displays tab in settings.
 
Hey, is it the tuner wizard that locks up on you? It locks up on me every time I try to run it.

My Specs:

Athlon 800Mhz
128MB SDRAM
Soyo SY-K7VIA Motherboard (latest 4in1 drivers)
Via Audio with 1.09 drivers
AiW Radeon
 
800_600 looks awfull on all tvout ard i've seen normal tv is only 320_240 pal ntcs 320_200 and 800_600 is really maxing out the tv running it at a very low Hz there really is nothing you can do apart from running 640_480

Yes it was the tuner wizard that locked up. Upgrading to the special purpose drivers (5063) fixed that. Make sure you reboot after uninstalling the 5059 drivers though otherwise you'll end up disabling TV out like I did by accident.

As for TV output at 800x600, it looked fine on my Rage 128 card. Now I get all kinds of squiggly things on certain areas of the screen.

But overall I'm happy with it.
