Radeon AIW delayed again?

[I am posting this for discussion in the Radeon Info forum, but have
also posted in the All-in-Wonder forum as a general announcement]

I am following a discussion on onvia.com, where there
are a few people claiming that ATI has pushed the release
date of the All in Wonder Radeon back again to the first
week in October.

If anyone has any confirming information, I'd be interested
in seeing it posted here. (I am figuring that issues that affect
the AIWR might also affect other Radeon cards in the channel)

I am trying to figure out what might be causing this delay...
(I know it hasn't really been that long, but I am impatient to
get my hands on one of these cards)

When the first delay was announced, I had heard rumors that there
might be some kind of manufacturing defect.
But, since none of the reviews seemed to indicate any physical
problems with the card, and the latest drivers seem to be addressing
the initial compatibility issues, I don't know if that is the case.

Another cause might be component shortage, or problems on their
manufacturing line becuase they had to redesign the Radeon layout
to accomodate the TV Tuner on the AIW.

Earlier, I also suspected that ATI was trying to hold off on shipping
until they were sure they had enough cards to meet demand.

Does anyone else have any ideas?

I e-mailed ATI last month and finally got a response (21 days later).

Sir / Madam,

The RADEON 64MB DDR cards are currently shipping and the RADEON All in Wonder cards will be shipping in October. There are currently no delays holding up shipment of product.

Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.

I could ask them if it will be available in EARLY October, but it will take another 3 weeks to get a response, by that time AIW Radeon will already be out.
