Hi,
I tried flashing my Hercules 8500 LE card, using RadEdit and the DOS tool.
The reason for doing so is that I wanted to enable PAL-60 on the TV-out.
What I do is the following: I read the current BIOS from the card into Radedit, then I make the change so that the PAL-60 option will be available. I then save the new BIOS to a file and flash the BIOS file into the card in DOS mode.
But when I restart the machine, the screen goes blank, and I have to restore the old BIOS using a PCI card... Something must be wrong with either the flashing or the BIOS file.
Does anybody have experience from flashing the BIOS on a Hercules card, or should I use a BIOS from another card, like the original "made by ATI" 8500?
Or is there maybe another way to enable PAL-60?
I'm a newbie so all tips are welcome...Thanks in advance, guys.
