Radedit for Hercules 8500LE

Hi,

I tried flashing my Hercules 8500 LE card, using RadEdit and the DOS tool.
The reason for doing so is that I wanted to enable PAL-60 on the TV-out.
What I do is the following: I read the current BIOS from the card into Radedit, then I make the change so that the PAL-60 option will be available. I then save the new BIOS to a file and flash the BIOS file into the card in DOS mode.

But when I restart the machine, the screen goes blank, and I have to restore the old BIOS using a PCI card... Something must be wrong with either the flashing or the BIOS file.

Does anybody have experience from flashing the BIOS on a Hercules card, or should I use a BIOS from another card, like the original "made by ATI" 8500?
Or is there maybe another way to enable PAL-60?

I'm a newbie so all tips are welcome...Thanks in advance, guys.

Radedit dosn't support all the 3rd party radeon 8500. there's only good support for the Gigabyte's 8500.

Thanks

Thanks

OK, thanks for the response. I'll just have to wait for a new release of Radedit then :).

Or maybe another way to enable PAL-60, since BIOS-flashing seems a bit...umm, insecure.
