Quake 3 and Intel i7-4770K

Hello guys,

Happy New Year

I did not know where to post this but
its been a while and I decided to play some quake 3 arena and its so laggy and stuttering.

I have enabled V SYNC and capped frame limit at 60 and 85 and 100.

when I check the FPS, its pegged at 1000 FPS.

is there a way to tweak something to play it with lower FPS.

Also I forced AF thru control panel and there is no AF.

I believe the command is set cl_maxfps and then whatever you want. It's been awhile and don't have any ID games installed.
 
It's a com_maxfps 125, and about af on 7870 works fine and there is no console command or .cfg twaek in Q3 for af.
 
the issue is it stutters real bad. like Vsync is trying to apply the brakes, and its still going.

oh well, not that I need to play QIII but it was cool to try one of my oldie but goodies.

Thanks for suggestion of max fps

I used 60 FPM instead of 125 and its super smooth

I also created a profile in CCC and now the AF is sharp.

Appreciate yalls help
