Hi,

PSO:BB never renders with my AMD Radeon HD M395x. Instead it renders on the Intel graphics instead- i7 6820QM.

My laptop is an Alienware 15 R2.

I have set all the adapter settings on the AMD control panel to disable battery performance saving, run psobb.exe and online.exe on Maximize Performance and I have set the apps to High performance.

the game continues to not be detected by the AMD Switchable Graphics Monitor app, and it says that means the app isn't running on the AMD.

The reason this sucks is because the Intel graphics are not as fast AND no AA/AF with all the quality AMD graphics support.. The Intel graphics supports far less AA/AF settings to force in the game, the game itself does not support AA/AF so must be forced. Forcing AA/AF on Intel of course sucks quality and performance wise.

How do we fix this and what's the typical cause? is it a bug in AMD or Intel driver?

I swear it used to work fine on older hardware I had with AMD graphics AND Intel CPU graphics, but that was years ago when I last played. I recall I used AMD's AA and AF and it worked fine. Now the AA/AF on AMD control panel does not force on the game.

I'm not up to date on my driver version strings but it seems like your using a driver at least a year if not more out of date if I were to venture a guess.

Try updating your graphics driver using the drivers direct from AMD instead of shitty out of date Dell who sucks at updating their ****.

If it's anything like Dell's other equipment you an only install Dell drivers. You can bypass that though my going through device manager and updating to latest AMD drivers via an "inf" file though.

yes i upgraded to crimson 17.3.2

yes i upgraded to crimson 17.3.2

but it did not work at all. the driver was no different. if you install the game yourself you see the game does not run on your dedicated graphics card on laptops with the Intel CPU GPU integrated as well.

the game is free to install and test.
