i posted this in OT but didn't get any responses so i thought it may be better received here (not that many people come here anyway).
Project euler involes a number of mathematical tests that you write programs to solve. The early questions don't seem that hard but took me a while as I haven't done java in ages, but so far I have done up to number 3.
I predict it will take me a very long time to do them all, but at least it will keep me brushed up on my programming and basic mathematical problem solving skills.
 
I could brute force most of these problems. Although, I wish I was smart enough mathematically to do it the right way.
