Problems installing remote wonder

I have managed to install all the display drivers, wdm capture drivers and the mmc without any problems.

After this i installed remote wonder 1.1 to c:/remtcrtl (from the advice given in another thread) and then installed remote wonder 1.2 to this directory

then i plugged the remote wonder in

when device manager goes to install it i get this message

error: installation failed

and then
a service installation section in this INF is invalid.

any help would be appreciated

UPDATE:

I have managed to install the drivers. I moved the remote wonder drivers folder out from the mmc directory and into the d:/remctrl directory. This allowed me to install version 2.36 of the drivers.

After doing this and rebooting I was treated to a BSOD just before I would be logging into windows.

I seem to have solved one problem and created / found a much larger one help!

If its any use my system is:

Processor: AMD XP1800+
Motherboard: MSI K7T266Pro2-RU
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon 8500DV AIW
Soundcard: Sound Blaster Live! Value
OS: Windows XP Pro

Well well, managed to sort it on me own

For some reason if the remote is plugged into a usb port thats directly connected to the mobo rather than in a riser or external hub then i dont get the BSOD.

could form a useful part of a sticky.
