Power DVD plugin?

I downloaded the installer 1.06 version, and installed it with the rmote software turned off. Fired up the remote software and then imported the plugin, and went to configure it. I set the motion pad right for fast forward, and motion pad left for reverse (this does what the mouse scroll would do, no? 1-32x fast forward or reverse). But then....nada.

Any ideas if I'm doing something obviously wrong?
