Hi there all. I am a graphic artist at Redmedia, the developers of Redwyrm online.
We have been testing a lot of new 3d features lately and one of which that i thought might be interesting to look into was the smoothvision features of radeon. I have a radeon 8500, So im a little bias in this.
My main issue is centered around model cross artifacts. we all know what happens when two models collide. This is a very real problem in redwyrm as all of the character models are made up of 30 customizable and reloadable parts. What i am curious about is if it is possible to use per pixel, joint or vertex forms of antialiasing that will fudge out the line where these model cross, but not anti alias the rest of the scene.
I am not a programer, just an artist. but If this is possible, The lead software designer at redmedia would really appreciate some pointers.
