You joke, but I get it. Its proper to have a time and place for such things, and a time and place to be able to escape from it.
If I'm reading about computer hardware I don't want to be reminded about politics.

Can we link to political content as long as the text of the link is not political?
The rule for linking to P&R stuff is still there so one would assume no.
Also @curio or whom ever it may concern the rules in feedback are not updated to reflect the rule edit made in the off topic forum rules set http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=25056
The staff would treat such scenarios on a case by case basis; I'd have to see an example to know for sure.
But in a general nutshell, I would think that would be fine as long as the content isn't political or religious in nature - BUT obviously the safest way to be sure about it is to not source political or religious links at all.

Somehow this is not a link involving politics regardless of the title:

Either allow political content in sigs or don't. I get that there is a grey area but we all know that is 100% political, and is in the sig meant to be as such. I highly doubt if anyone else had the same thing in their sig it would be in the category of "let it slide."
If I'm wrong please explain why.

Yeah, might be easier on all concerned TBH.
I'm not sure what I'm missing. I removed the political part of my sig. Is there another signature out there we need to take a look at?

I'd post the title of the link in your sig but according to the rules that is an automatic 3 day ban. So how about this, you post the title and the first paragraph of the article you link to.
