WTF everytime I go to post a pic it only puts in the link but no actual pic. I did it before...what the hell am I doing wrong!!!:nuts:
 
switchwrx i got a bud here who has a silver 03 wrx that looks just like urs, even the momo edition... its such a killer car... before he waxed the transmission, and then waxed the motor after a turbo upgrade, he pulled a 12.92 in the 1/4... i can't remember the speed anymore, i want to say 108ish... that was on the stock turbo, pushed to its limits, with a cpu upgrade, full exhaust, and jeez i can't remember what else... but when he lost his motor, oil got all over the highway, and he lost control and went offroading a bit, messed up his car pretty good, but instead of spending money on actually fixing the cosmetic damage, he put it into the motor lol... he has his trans beefed up before he wrecked his car, so no more breaking 2nd gear lol

Not to mention comparing car prices around the world, we pay almost double what the people in the US pay. If car over there costs 20,000$, it's 30,000-40,000$ here.

Add in double fuel prices and you get a pretty good image why most people here drive small non-flashy cars.
 
Me = Carless currently. My girlfriend has one of these out of state. Pretty much same exact car as this pic.

My car got nicked from outside my G/F's house on Monday night and subsequently crashed - and as a result, it looks like it will be written off!!

....Car thieves & Burglers are such f***ing scum!! :( :( :mad: :mad:

I know how you feel - fuel is a lot more than double the price over here I reckon.

I would be interested to know how much insurance is comparatively as well, one of the reasons I chose not to have anything flashy on my car was to keep the insurance down - it's a group 9 at the moment which is semi-reasonable, any more was just too much.

For full coverage auto insurance on a 03 Subaru Legacy for my girl (clean driving record) in Boston, we were quoted rates in the $2000(+) per year range. Even under the same carrier, the prices were more then double the cost of driving in california. :confused: Not to mention parking would be $150 per month for a lottery parking lot, meaning first come first serve (I live in an apartment building)
