Official Navi2x/6x00 series thread

Bud just got himself an Asrock 6700xt for 470 CAD after rebate to replace an old GTX 970, which is about 350 USD and was a lot less than the Nvidia counterpart. So far so good he hasnt mentioned any noise issue from the fans that some talked about but I think that was only the 6900's?... Asrock usually the only brand on sale up here and the 6900xt Asrock is about 870$ cad after rebate tomorrow or about 650 USD which is ok I guess.

Some more vram figures from TPU.

RT performance is rather odd though. 3080 10GB is twice as fast as 7900XTX, despite vram. Heck, even the Intel A770 is beating the 7900XTX.

Some thing is clearly wrong on the 7900XTX. For TPU when RT is on "low" it does fine, but when bumped to high it tanks WAY lower than it should. But HU didn't seem to get the same issues?

Not sure wtf is going on. HU also found some CPU weirdness. (CPU Limit?)

So this has been bugging me a bit, not to the point of having to ditch my 6600...but ive been seeing some dithering artifacts in CS:GO whenever the smoke grenades are launched. Also when the replay screen occurs showing you're killer's view (where the whole screen is grey), the dithering is...obviously on the whole screen.
I also noticed this in Doom 2016 as well.....it makes some surfaces a bit more....sparkly than they should be.
I dont know when this actually started but it was something i started noticing after my bout with the driver timeouts issues (its been resolved as far as i know). So i dunno 2 or 3 graphics drivers ago?

Anyone know what the cause is? This is not a recent thing, its been going on for several months now...it just never bothered me much, i just assumed new drivers should fix it.

Does it show up in a screenshot? I can try and see if it shows up on my 7900XTX.
