poor changelogs, there's lots more in the profiles installer that's not in the drivers

yosumin... some of these casuals i guess have bug fixes? not like they'd need CF

so... what's missing... lead & gold (massive flickering with CF with no scaling, reported the other day)
 
caveman will correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure a profile's functionality is incorporated into the next driver release - rendering profiles that predate your driver version obsolete.

That said, we'll plan to include complete changelog info, for older profiles as well as current profiles, when we overhaul the download page.
 
but those titles are NOT seen in any of the dlls of the drivers
i was meaning ati's changelogs, as rage just uses what they say right?

i'll have to do some more tests.. red orchestra is ironically working fine right now after uninstalling the profiles
 
The next full WHQL release features the previous CAP fixes (except for 10.6 where they left stuff out and then added it back in with CAP).
 
hey guys. have a major problem i have hd 4870x2 crossfire dl ccc 10.6 worked fine then dl the 23 june app went to play crashes every time at the into screen. tried to remove using the install thing that didnt work tried repairing that didnt work. used driversweeper then reinstall 10.6 that didnt work. tried installing 9.12 that worked but ccc had no crossfire tab to enable crossfire. tried to use ccleaner but it doesnt pik up any thing ati??? does any one have this problem or is there another way to get rid of these app profiles as it seems to be the thing that is causing the problems. when 10.6 was installed it worked fine untill the profile thing,,,

New Catalyst Application Profile has been released, exclusively @ Rage3D.com :D

Adds support for AA in Anno 1404, NASA Moonbase Alpha, ArcaniA: Gothic 4, Singluarity

The Anno 1404 profile should improve Crossfire scaling and so should the Moonbase Alpha one. The Singularity one would also be improved if the game wasn't locked to 120fps.

edit: noticed the link goes to rage3d/uploads/ folder... shouldn't be to hard to redirect.
 
How can I convert the blb to xml ? (or which Visual C++ redistribution / system is able to convert the file ?)

(atiapfxx.exe -r -b atiapfxx.blb -s filename.xml) = atiapfxx.exe crash.

Both the Anno 1404 and the US named Dawn of Discovery executables?

You will be my indefinite hero if you can find a way to convert it to xml and then back to blb.

Sorry, posted from work. I'm at home and can confirm the executables are the same. I should have known... I had to rename it at one time to oblivion.exe to get CrossFire to work in the first place.
 
Why doesn't the driver download these game profiles itself? I'm sure it would be quick and painless for most users who would be happy to have it auto-update.
