Fury series prices have skyrocketed especially in Italy ....

600 euro or 800 euros ... with 1070 and 1080 already in the market for some time ?

Also in Germany: Fury X at 800 euros ...
What's happening ... ? :)

Is AMD fury line actually took off for some unknown reason ?
How you sell a 800 euro fury x with 1080 having more performance and lower or equal price ... Funny season this summer ...

I came so close to buying the XFX at 399 today. The Fury X that is on Newegg. I didn't buy it because of the 4 gigs of VRAM. I still think the fury x would be fine for 1440P though but I can wait.

Does anyone know if AMD is still producing Fiji, or are all the Furies and Nanos just run offs of the remaining stock?

That is not bad for a very quiet water cooled card - for me the 4gb is the limiting factor - still will be a bad-ass setup for 1080p for many years to come.
I've not had much if any problem with the 4gb on my two fury x's at 4k

even doom nightmare textures run fine after you set " +menu_advanced_AllowAllSettings "
just need them to get cfx working looks great runs a tad slow nightmare textures drop it from about 40 to 50 fps to 30 to 40 fps at 4k

Two games that stick out for memory issues is Mirror's Edge and Rise Of The Tomb Raider, Doom also if you use Nightmare settings but that maybe more a lack of performance ability of one Nano. Yes many games should not be an issue.

If DX 12 allows more assets, more draw calls etc. That also means much more memory which would push 4gb even thinner. Reason for my recommendation. Still a $399 FuryX is a rather good price, one just need to know longer term limitations.

I don't have Mirror's Edge and Rise Of The Tomb Raider

but see edit above doom is fine but needs cfx

Doom at 3440x1440p, max at nightmare settings on the 1070 does consistently 70fps-80fps. A very beautiful smooth experience, I just use adaptive sync and it maintains 60fps flawlessly so far with zero mouse lag. In other words for this game it is like FreeSync at 60fps. I am hoping Vulkan will up the Nano performance some whenever that patch will be released.
