I get the "Severe Error:inf not found" error on my Mobility Radeon chipset, using either the BUILT BY or POWERED BY versions of the Catalyst driver for WinXP. I found an INF file in the <driver name>/driver folder (there is an XP directory, and 2 files including the INF file. This file seemed to resemble the atiigpag.inf folder in the "how to haXX0r drivers for different boards" link James the Moderator provided, so I tried adding the m6 sections from my existing atiigpag.inf folder to this inf file, saving, and re-running the install....no dice.
