New Zen 2 bioses

There's an update for my Asus x470 Prime Pro but I'm not bothered as I'm not really interested in a Zen 2 CPU. Might update in a year or so if I decide to buy one but can't see why I need to now TBH.

Price might be a stickler for me. Intel 16 core is 1600$ USD. Be lucky to get the 16 core Ryzen 2 for about 700-800$ USD. Or over a grand CAD. 500$ CAD for the 8 core Im sure. Ill buy on sale or wait for Ryzen 4000 if reviews are soso.
 
Playing around with the F40 bios tonight seems pretty stable to me so far. Did 4 upgrades tonight starting with the ec fw tool then latest chipsets then F31 (was on F25 and needed that one to goto F40) then F40.

Anyone else taking the GB x370 K7 mobo to 3k?

Too bad they went back on the pcie4 support. Some x470 mobos got beta bioses for that so they might be able to tinker with it but the first F40 for x370 doesnt have it.
 
OK buddy tells me to double check and I have PCIE 4 enabled on the mobo lol. And AFAICT this isnt a beta bios. Id read that it didnt have it but there it is... Kinda slapping myself for not double checking.

Looks like GB will let us toy with this once we get a PCIE4 peripheral. I hope its not an empty placeholder in the UEFI. Awesome!
 
I heard some features are being cut from older boards that don't have big enough BIOS chips.
 
Nothing major from what Ive seen its support for older apus and in one case UEFI bling. HU tested the 3900x on a B350 and looks to work fine.
