New TV for bedroom

Convince the wife that she can take 5 more inches :manches2:

Then you can get a 55" LG OLED. The perfect black levels will be preferred in later/after hours viewing where the typical light levels should be lower.

Max size the wife will let me go is 50"

Thoughts?

Budget?

There are a ton of options.

OLED likely won't work due to most of them being at least 55". Rock and roll on something with decent refresh, supporting 4k, and local dimming if possible.

Sony and Samsung both make great offerings, and Vizio's latest have excellent reviews.

When visiting houses last year, I met with a very insightful realtor with which
I had in interesting discussion.

She said that most house sales are because of breakups, and in breakup sales, she noticed two
trends:
King beds, in which you can sleep the whole night and never touch your spouse,
and TV's in the bedroom...

Take it as it may.

I am sure there are an equal or higher number of houses with working relationships that have both those items as well.

We have a queen bed and 50" lg plasma in the bedroom (probably much smaller than yours). The only thing we use the tv for is netflix and bluray. Most of the time we are watching together
