Really? I thought it was pretty good. I actually think that episode was better than the entire latest The Grand Tour season. Only thing going for that show is the fact all 3 presents are still together.

There were some lame jokes and attempt at humor in Top Gear but meh.
 
I didn't know Rory stepped down as a main presenter and LeBlanc quit due to being away from the family too often. I thought this trio were alright. However, Rory was annoying and came out a little too "try hard" at times.

What a shame.

So where does Rory sit now?

This show is going to go through presenters like under wear until its eventually dropped.

I don't think the scripting worked well for Rory (and I never thought the script writers were all that great for the new version). For all of his troubles, Clarkson really did well with the original show script writing and had a lot of that "good old British" humor in it. The replacement writers were never able to replicate that.

I just read comments on the first episode of season 27 on Twitter and pretty much all are giving it the thumbs up. The new trio have the right chemistry bringing back old school Top Gear humor.

I’m glad it’s coming back.
