New Hi-performance drivers?

Just curious if the drivers which are being refered to in recent posts that may be leaked soon are the ones that are supposedly going to give us a 5-10% performance increase? Or are those drivers only a fairytale?

The new drivers will, however, give you multiple orgasms...

At least until you install them and realize they're nothin special.
 
I wish you would reveal any "real" or "perceived" info that would be beneficial to me if I am to smoke the crack pipe with you. There would be nothing better in my life (technology wise) if what you are saying is true or even 2/3's true.

But since you asked...I too will comply.

What new drivers mean to everyone:

1.) 3Dmark becomes used after its time of suspended animation
2.) People will realize that the red of red has become an even nicer shade of red and the same with other colors and thus the graphics quality improved
3.) People will see the antialiased line that is in an I is much more anti-aliased from previous times and thus antialiasing improved.
4.) Everyone will notice their .5fps increase.
5.) Everyone will return to b!tchdom and blow their top on the forum because the driver is 1mb larger than before.
 
Well new drivers will use the sam opengl patch version, gamma issue will be fixed, and other minor errors related to dvd and d3d.
 
Don't hold your breath.

Those "magic drivers" will never show up, we will get compatiblility
fixes etc but nothing else substancial..

Hope they get the max out of the R300 ones though...
 
i'm kinda hoping they will, NVIDIA-style cause whenever they release a new product, their unified-driver system also gives a pretty good boost to the previous product, allthough i'm not quite sure there WILL be a unified driver for R200 (and RV250) and R300 ...
fingers crossed though :D
