...and what to we get? Another day older and deeper in debt.

Fudo seems so happy about NVidia Aniso being fixed. Not me, it was the last advantage we enjoyed.

I guess by this time next week we'll have seen 17,000 3DMarks.

Sigh. ATI, where are our detonators? Fix AA performance. Make OpenGL faster.

A leaked driver benchmark score would hold me over. Perhaps there are some unusually high scores on madonion or something (hint hint).

Fix AA perf?
ITS NOT BROKEN. its called supersampling - it offers better IQ at a greater perf hit than multisampling.
 
We will never get ATI's detonators.... *sniff* probably because only NVidia has DETONATOR Drivers.. they blow up your video card.. LOL get it? *sigh* I need coffee.

A buddy of mine was bragging to me about his new GF4ti4400. Quotes "HAHA You suck!, I can score 11,XXX 3d mark points, with ease, and you have a nice overclock on your system and vid card and can barely reach 10,100... My video card walks all over yours"

I said "So? I can still kick your ass at games!"

Outcome?! I whooped his ass at SOF2. And my gfx looked good doing it too. ;)

I usually run games with max visuals including aniso, no FSAA. And both our cards side by side, my radeon performed equal or better then the GF4. What an upgrade eh?

hahaha...I see the tables have turned, now its us nVidiots that are complaining about no new drivers :D

But yeah, I want these 32.xx bad too...so not fair - @ Inquirer it should have read:

New ATI drivers debut and not nNew nVidia DetoNator debuts :D :(

What do you need a video card for? The only games you play involve staring at you poorly endowed crotch while funneling screetch.

Seriously though, how did you get a Radeon? I didn't know Future Shop took food stamps.

Can the AF improve that much on the gf4 over the leaked 29.42s? (except for adding the performance increase to d3d). Unless nvidia can stop appling AF to the whole screen then the hit will stay (just like supersampling).

Whilst a totally inapropriate response, I found the Future Shop reference funny as hell. ;)

Yes I find that if you are going to p1ss people off, you should at least be entertaining.

Seriously though, I have invested a lot of time into modding my 8500 and am very happy with it. There is untapped potential though, and I just hope that we get it before ATI moves on to RV250 and R300.

Oh yeah, I do play games (quite well I might add). But tweaking my 'puter is at least as fun as CS or Wolf.

Inhaling the purple fumes from a burnt up TBird was as thrilling as seeing Nihilanth for the first time in HL. The stakes in tweaking are higher.


My PC could burst into flames at any minute ;^)
Or, more likely, my GPU could stop working properly.
