Hi all,
I just recently upgraded from an nVidia GeForce FX 5500 graphics card to a VisionTek X1300 (256MB). I noticed that whenever I plug in my monitor to the slot on the graphics card, the monitor doesn't detect any signal. I'm currently relying on the on-board display adapter to use this computer, and whenever I log in, I get this message:
I installed the latest drivers from the VisionTek website, but the monitor still isn't picking up a signal. The Device Manager on Windows Vista says:
"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"
I'm not sure what the problem is but I really want to use my new graphics card because I'm getting tired of the crappy resolution on the on-board display adapter. >_> Anyways, thanks for taking the time for reading this post and thanks in advance for any help.
EDIT: Oops. Wrong board. Can a mod or someone move this thread to the ATI Technical Support board?
