1. When I timedemo quake3(1.27) at 640x480, 800x600, it never gets past 170fps, I have an 1800xp with 1GB DDR, and my 8500 @ 290/290. I've disabled vsync, i've set the "seta com_maxfps" command to 300. I've seen it on many hardware sites where they get 240+fps at 640, how is it they can achieve this. I tried this both within the game and with q3bench.
2. In half-life/counterstrike it seems my GL_TEXTUREMODE is permanantly set to "GL_LINEAR_MIPMAP_NEAREST". Obviously this setting is the equivalent to bilinear filtering. I want to be able to set it to force GL_LINEAR_MIPMAP_LINEAR or Trilinear filtering as it were.
Has anyone experienced these problems before and/or know how to fix these "issues" that i'm having?
