This post is two-fold. First, I am having problems along the lines of this post, since I have a Mitubishi 2040u. Before I return the Radeon (for a G400 MAX; the dot crawl really bothers me at my primary res of 1600x1200), I wanted to check out the DVD output and see if it is worth keeping the card after all, despite the flickering flaw at high-res. The problem is that the disc that came with the Radeon has a scratch on it that prevents my CD-ROM drives from recognizing it. Can anyone package (RAR, ZIP) their ATI CD so that I can get the Multimedia Center? The store is rather far away, and I would rather not exchange it just to return it later if I don't like the DVD (or if the trade-off between DVD and 2D quality is not good).

Thanks,

Sean

PS If some kind soul is willing to do it, I will give you my ftp address. My e-mail is [email protected].

Email me. I'll zip/rar/ace the ATI cd I got with my Radeon and send it to you in whichever format tickles you...

Well, I tried the toothpaste (I can't believe that I did it, but what the heck), and it didn't work. I'll think about the car wax, but if anyone else can just beam the contents of the CD over in rar format or something, I'd appreciate it.

EMAIL ati and tell them your CD is broken.

Tell them you need a new one.

What do you have to loose?

You might save some toothpaste and car wax.

I E-Mailed ATI about the CD and it took them almost 2 weeks to get back to me and ask for the Damn part number of the card. Know 3 weeks later is coming forst class mail from canada.

Exactly my point. So, if someone has the CD handy, please send it over. Actually, I was able to extract a fair amount of the CD, but I need the \Install\MmcDvd folder, particularly the \Install\MmcDvd\core\winsys files. Just e-mail them to [email protected].
