N4 Nascar game studdering/SBLive 5.1 drivers

The game studders or flickers. I just put Radeon DDR in with 7075 drivers . I first tried the CD drivers for the SBLive 5.1 then uninstalled them and tried just the drivers. Same problem. Could the game just need more CPU power than I have PII 450? Or is it the sound card? I just bought the sound card so I hope that I can get this fixed. I'm upgrading to a PIII 850 in a week or so.
