Hey,
My monitor (it's an old Smile monitor, don't know the model #) has started doing something strange. It now has a teal/light blue tint over the screen (so that red is black ( I can't even see the angry face on the icons list) and green is yellow). It started doing it yesterday, it did it once for a few seconds, then changed back, then it did it again a little longer later on, then last night, it did it and is still doing it.
I know this isn't an issue with settings or my Radeon 64DDR, because my old monitor ( a Samtron) started doing this as well after awhile. Except, my old moniter, if I banged it, it would sometimes lose the teal tint for awhile, but tapping/banging this one has no effect.
I'd really like to know what's going on here....is this something monitors just do after they get old? Can it be fixed, and if so, is it worth it to repair it or to just buy a new monitor?
I'd really appreciate any light anyone can shed on this subject, because the fact that this has happened on two different brands of moniters on two completly different systems makes me think perhaps it's a sign that the monitor needs to be replaced?...
Any help, suggestions, etc, please respond
