Hey there, you guys have a pretty switched on forum here - maybe you can help. We haven't had much joy with the ATI developer relations.
We're developing an embedded application on a ETX-P3 board from Jumptec which uses an ATI Rage Mobility graphics processor. We'd like to be able to change the TV out settings from our application without having to bring up the display properties dialog (contrast, size etc). We've tried capturing the registry for some pre-sets we like and then re-booting and that works ok, but in the final product we will have write filtering enabled and will not be able to re-write the registry from the application.
Is there some way to reset the driver to accept our new TV settings without rebooting or some other kind of API interface to the driver we could use? ATI won't give us this info - they don't want to break our application as they update their drivers, even though our application will be static.
Our OS is NT4 (embedded) and we're stuck.
