Metro Exodus - Enhanced Edition

Listen here you euro trash driving on the wrong side of the road mofo, is this stand alone or DLC or not?? :p

So how do you play the enhanced version? I have the GOG version. I don't see where to install the enhanced edition.

I don't know about the GOG version, but on Steam I had to restart my Steam client and then Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition showed up underneath the normal Metro Exodus as a separate entry in my game library.

Figured it out. For anyone that has GOG version, you have to go into the game on GOG Galaxy, hit the settings button, then manage installation, then it's under the beta channels.

Unfortunately it doesn't let you change the install folder. I have the original installed on a drive with 50gigs available so the update kept failing because I didn't have enough space. Had to uninstall a couple other games fto free up space before it would install without errors.

Huge image ghosting issues, that I'm hearing are widespread whether using DLSS, HDR, or neither.

Also had to sit through that bloody intro again, and it takes seven hours to apply new video settings (prolly shader related, my NVMe m.2 drive is being very useful again.)

So played the first level and it does look good but I honestly couldn’t tell much of a difference. Lighting seems to be brighter than the original that I remember. Either way dope game is dope. Pushing 120 fps at 1440P maxed out with DLSS. Can’t complain.

Wow! There are parts of this game that are absolutely beautiful with the new lighting. I just spent the better part of an hour just exploring the church. Turning candles and flames on and off. It's stunning.

At one point I walked into a little room that had a fire in it. When I extinguished the fire the lights went out but part of the room was still glowing from the fire. At first I thought it was a bug. Then I realized it was because light from a fire in the room above me was leaking through the cracks in the floor. It was behaving exactly as you would expect.

This is easily the best showcase for ray tracing I've seen so far.
