Metal Hellsinger

i understand the serj dislike. however his vocals on their very first albumn are fantastic. It didnt really get anoying until the more polished studio albums. If you like harder metal, but never got into system of a down. I urge you to listen to their self titled album. It's fantastic.

i know they are popular, but they really went down hill from there :/

I used to love SOAD way back. I think I’m starting to lean towards less frantic gameplay these days though. Even trying to get back into old favorites they aren’t holding my attention any more. Sucks getting old

getting olds an excuse. you can keep your mind sharp, you can exercise and keep fit and you can play hard keep your gaming skills.

i really dunno what kind of problem you guys have with Serj, his voice certainly is very unique, but c'mon, it's not THAT bad. That aside he's not the only vocalist in this game.

Was just never a System of a Down fan, mainly because of the vocal style. I respect the originality, but it just doesn't work for my musical preference.

If the game had a metal vocal style more like Bruce Dickinson however, that might be more my style.

it does. it has quite a few different singers (not actually from iron maiden obviously) accross all the tracks. serj is just more current and mainstream. even non metal people know who serj is. Not many non metal fans listen to nightwish though.

Youtubed some of the tracks, they are not videogamey enough.

Some of the songs are ok, but they are not the kind of tracks that gets you hyped while you are shootbanging demons.

Well that's why they have a demo. The two songs there work very well with it.

If those end up being the two best songs in the game, that would be very sad.

I'm surprised to see so much Serj dislike. I wasn't aware people disliked his vocals so much.

I'm gonna try the demo out. I'm the worst; have this Uber expensive gaming rig and it rarely gets turned on, and when it does, it's playing some **** like Wartales that could run on a toaster. insertclownemoji

Yeah I never understand you guys that spend a lot on a gaming PC and not play games!

I do get it though. As we get older free time is more and more at a premium.

I'll trade you. I have a gaming toaster :D

Yep. Just downloaded it on GP and will give it a go. I enjoyed Bullets Per Minute so hopefully this is as good (or better).

This game is not for those susceptible to arthritis.

Lots of Steam reviews compare it to Doom, but gameplay is obviously completely different. Also there's no blood and gore; instead bones and ash. Linear level design, no secrets, no puzzles. Which is good, because exploring a level for a secret while trying to keep your rhythm up would be really ****ing annoying.

Intend to finish it on Normal for now, but may put it on Easy as my mouse clickin' hand turns to jelly after about twenty minutes of play.

I'm also digging it. Did the tutorial and the first level and am happy it's a real game and not a rogue-lite like BPM: Beats Per Minute was like. Do do see some of the DOOM characteristics (getting some health back with the "glory" kill option and the hell setting). I'm wondering how many unique songs there are, though. I am enjoying what I hear, but hope that at least each level has its own so it's not too repetative.

Yep. And something I didn't realize until the third level is all tracks are composed by Two Feathers, of Aragami's OST. So it's a true OST and not licensed tracks. Surprised the OST isn't for sale... Maybe it will be in a future DLC or something.
