LTSC 2019 - Games that need 1809+?

Thinking of going back to LTSC after this 21H2 update mangled a bunch of things on my system.

I know Halo MCE doesn't work without 1809 or newer, anyone else still on LTSC and knows of other games that don't work?

OK, color me surprised. I withdraw my question I guess?

LTSC is the long-term version Windows 10 that doesn't have 90% of the garbage. I assumed that hypothetically there could be others here that could answer.

im surprised there are games that require newer version of windows. As for ltsc, does that mean it has none of the later security fixes or the few improvements windows 10 actually got?

Does it actually get updated, just doesnt have the bloat added?

It gets full security and bug support until 2026, but no feature updates. It stays the same version of 10 permanently.

AMD drivers require 1809 or newer. And nVidia is 1803 and later. So you could use the 2019 LTSC which is 1809. Also nothing that use's the MS Store is likely to work, so GamePass is out.

It's also not worth using outside of some pretty narrow use cases. Like imaging equipment, kiosk's, Digital Signage etc etc. Gaming is not really a typical use case I've seen before. And if your internet facing, your not really supposed to use it. It can become vulnerable as it doesn't get updates as often and some elements are fixed in Feature Updates that the LTSC of course doesn't get.

You're also missing out on gaming features like graphics hardware resource scheduling, and the specific adjustments to bugs in the UI probably.

What features do you not like with 21H2?

Seems this whole thing just became moot, I've been told LTSC 2021 was released.

As far as issues, I'm getting crashes on my VMs and random crashes on sleep that were not there before the last update ever. I run 3-4 VMs at any given time and use sleep constantly, so that's a real problem. I tried turn everything to stock and turned off boost, no change. Kernel errors in the log usually.

I also have an issue with stereo-only games, where I don't get correct sound unless I manually change windows to stereo before starting it, which is super annoying. Driver changes did nothing, it's a windows setting that affects it.

Chances are you've either got a bios bug, or bad hardware if driver reinstalls are doing nothing. What kinds of errors is the system log throwing at you?
