I'm really hoping that with this phone, and the G6, that LG is getting its act back together. Because it looks awesome.

I got my eye on this phone. The essential was a disappointment for me with all the camera issues. Hoping this turns out good. Also waiting to see what the Pixel 2 ends up being.

I wont be shocked if its a fantastic phone. I have the G6 and i love it, super smooth, solids battery and the build seems fantastic. The V30 seems to be a G6 but on steroids... specs and media related.

My 3 biggest complaints thus far with the g6
- Front camera is only 5mp... no idea why they went backawards when my G4 had 8mp.
- No OLED display. Not in terms of viewing quality, tho from power consumption. Current display looks amazing.
- Snapdragon 821... not that its a bad chip, tho for the launch price it should have had more umph.

The V30 seems to correct 2 of those issues

I wanted a G6 til i discovered it didn't have the buttons in the back anymore. Still have my G2 and can't find any upgrade I like.

I've got a v20 had the samsung s8 not had possibly the weakest and most insanely quiet headphone output I would have definitely kept that over the v20. I bought it for one purpose and that was to blow my eardrums out, unfortuantely the v20 without rooting it locks it's louder DAC settings to high impedance headphones or external speakers, you can trick it into external mode with an adapter which works pretty well but it's still annoying.

My HTC m9 was the best ****ing phone I ever owned. It still works I just need to fix the power button. That phone was so god damn loud without having to do any janky workarounds or rooting it.

I have a v20 with the factory stickers still on it. It's a good phone just LG can't get ahead in the market. This v30 is a big step but they need to step out of samsung's shadow and most likely soon Huawei.

Been using mine a couple months still have both the front and back sticker on it lol. It's like built in protectors I dunno why people take them off.
