It’s official: Sony now owns Bungie

I haven’t heard. What are they doing?

They remove content from the game in order to keep the file size down/for other tech related reasons.

The original campaign that set up the story for destiny 2 is no longer in the game, something that I/people paid for btw, so how on earth are you supposed to get into the game?

Nothing makes any sense.

That’s just messed up! And they never made it right?

Ok, zero confidence about any future Bungie announcements from Sony.

What they did to the original Destiny story versus what they had planned is absolutely demoralizing. A big reason why the original Destiny had so much of its in game lore put outside of the game, online where you could go read about ****, was because they were doing rewrites until long after the game launched.

It's why if you play the original Destiny game there's so much that makes no sense.

Why do all the starting classes and races all start in the same Russian wasteland starting area? Instead of Exos starting in Russia, Humans starting in Euro Zone, and Awoken starting somewhere else?

Who was that person you meet who is watching you early on in the intro cinematic who shows up briefly on the moon and disappears? We find out more after a Destiny 2 rewrite, but that character just gets dropped on the cutting room floor in Destiny 1 but was still in the intro cinematic.

In the original story, the "darkness" was supposed to be us, humans, basically acting like Agent Smith in the Matrix told us we would. We're like a virus, multiplying and multiplying. That's why so many races are out to get us in the Destiny game. We spread out to other worlds and started breaking ecosystems.

There's more...

I was pretty excited about Destiny, but when it came out I played a couple hours and couldn't really get into it. I don't care all that much about Bungie these days.

Will they now make good games? Destiny 2 is probably the most overrated game I've had the misfortune to play.
