Is the TV-out any good on Radeon?

I'm planing to buy a Radeon as soon as it comes to Sweden. I just wonder how the TV-OUT quality is. And if the DVD playback are any good?

Can you compare the the DVD output from a computer (with Radeon gphx card on it) on a TV, with a "pure" DVD player output.
 
they are allso know for the best vidio capture :)
