IRQ

DAmn, i just noticed this error message when my system boots up. I have no idea how long its been there, but it says the fallowing:

Error: SBLIVE IRQ in conflicting with PCI IRQ. SBLIVE emulation is not loaded.

I checked in Device manager, but no conflicts are noted there. Is this to be ignored? i do get sound in win, i can play everything. From MP3's, to games, and to the crackling of thunder when win boots up.

How can i resolve this? and can it mess up things, like hangs, crashes...etc!

Thanx

try changing the irq your sound card is in (??) Sound Blaster 16 emulation is only useful for DOS games as far as I know. If you only play stuff in Windows I wouldn't worry about it

turn off any unused devices in bios (except USB) IE com2, or IDE2, this will free up a spare IRQ.

or

Make sure you have the latest IRQ routing drivers (via or ALI)

or

Turn of dos emulation in the sound card system properties.
