IP67/68 Tablet for kids/bath ?

Appears the only decent tablets that are kid friendly or chilling in the bath and not having to worry about Dora going for a swim are the Sony Xperia, however getting a Wifi only (no need for cell/data) in the US seems nearly impossible. Samsung appears to no longer to make the Tab Active, leaving pretty much the Z3 (a bit small at 8")..

any alternatives , preferably android.. ?

Leaning towards HD Fire Kids edition (would def buy if was a 10" Kids edition).. not waterproof sadly, however has a 2 year no questions asked warranty

Does lifeproof make a case for the HD Fire Kids edition? Because maybe an option to look at is rugged and water proof case.

Decided to go with a "Refurbished" Xperia of Fleabay as will serve multiple duties,.. kids entertainment, kitchen etc.. 8" screen just too small. Anywho.. turns out the "refurbished" meant a "factory reset" Verizon Demo tablet. "Fixed that by flashing to Lollipop :-).

Nice unit overall. A bit "flexy" so not sure how will hold up to drops etc.

Will let you know how it "ends"..

:-)

I mean your kids, whatever, but... when did bath time start involving electronics? Get washed and gtfo. :bleh:

hearding cats man..

not it's primary role, just enough to distract for 15 minutes at a time and not have to worry about water (accidental dunk or otherwise).. like I mentioned will serve many roles was just looking for something wouldn't have to worry about if it "went for a swim" but also will live in the kitchen or occasional trip to the hot tub and hanging out by the pool..
