Insane Wi-Fi/foldershare problem

OK, so I've been struggling to get my network shares to be accessible on my new and dandy Asus Transformer Book.

One day it works, the next it doesn't. Weird right? So I finally zeroed in on the problem... I'have 3 Wi-Fi connections. a 2.4 and a 5 GHz network through the router upstairs and a 2.4 GHz network downstairs. Whenever I'm connected to the 5 GHz network upstairs or 2.5 GHz network downstairs everything works great. All computers can see each other and I can access shares just great. Now for the funny and mind-numbing climax... Whenever my Asus is connected to the 2.4 GHz network upstairs all computers can connect to its shares, but as soon as I try to connect to the other shares from the Asus, It just can't connect to them.

It sees the computers just fine, but trying to access them results in a creeping green loading bar and after some time an error...

All networks are marked as private, all network sharing is enabled. Tried to forget the network and add it again, but no dice. What gives? Anyone with the golden ticket that can help me out? This drives me nuts!  :hmm:

Nope, same error... It's driving me nuts. Not that I can't work around it but it bugs me I can't fix it.

Can ping the computers without problem...

All Windows systems. Mix of 7 and 10. Non exhibit this behavior except for this one. It had windows 10 and the error thrown is that the computer/folder could not be reached and is unavailable.

So the problem is you're unable to browse any network computers on the 2.4 wifi upstairs?

Did you restart or sign off?:bleh:
The network computer shows up in Network after you refresh it?
Did you check the event viewer admin log? Can you share with with homegroup?

I can share among all computers in the same network. Be it connected through a wire or wireless. The problem is specific to this system and only when it's connected through the 2.4GHz band.

I can remove and add homegroups all day. Sign on and off. Reboot, shut down, tried disabling the firewall in the router, no dice.

It will see the other computers no problem. I can even ping them, but when I explore the network or the homegroup folders it fails. The thing that's really bugging me is that the other computers can access this one without a hitch

Oh, So it's a homegroup issue. I though you were using Network by workgroup.
Did you try the Homegroup troubleshooter? Type in "home" click on fix problems with homegroup.

Homegroup fixer gives me the error that the service is running on the other PC, but it's not responding. Don't know if it's a specific home group issue though. Shared the drives with everyone but both the shared drives as the home group folders throw an error.

Try having one homegroup on the network at a time. Is a particular PC causing this error? Did you try to leave the homegroup all the PCs, restart then start a new one on a different PC?

They are all on one homegroup. Tried the suggested deletion and creation but alas, still here...

Yup, this affects only one computer in particular. All other PCs can see it fine and access folders and such. But the other way around the PC can't connect all the other PCs.

Can't test right now, but could the problem be there are 2 pcs online with the same MS account?
