So Sunday, my k70 just quit. Maybe 3 or 4 keys were lighting up, not responsive at all. Plugged, unplugged, rebooted, DEAD. Ordered another one and will RMA the olde one. Got the new one today. Plugged it in, it lit up, flash drive plugged into usb port worked....but no response. I plugged it in where the old one was....apparently when the old one died, it took one of my USB ports with it. WTF?

AND.....youngest son came downstaris last night and said his system BSOD and then shut off, won't restart. He said the fans cut on but no BIOS screen or nothinhg. Good grief. Its a 3600 with a 1660 Super, whole thing a year old. Now I gotta figure that mess out.

Computers can certainly be a pain when they start having issues. Also when your family's PCs have issues it compounds the time involved. Along with maintaining my system I am the go to problem solver for my wife and son's PCs as well. I've wasted many a Saturday fixing their PCs.

Depending on the problem it definitely can be time consuming.

Don't think so. My box is plugged into a cyberpower ups which hasn't shown anything weird.
My son's box...I told him I would fix it today, or try to...he said yesterday he turned it on after school and it worked fine. Sounds like maybe some overheating, I'm about to go look to see if a dust cleanout is in order (or what he has gotten shoved down between it and the wall blocking the vents)
