Hello i am a new users.

I have been looking around for months without finding a solution to my problem. I am find people with the same problem but still no solution. I have searched in the Sticky topic and in the whole forum of yours but nothing found.

The problem :

I have Sapphire Radeon x1950 xtx ddr4 512 ...

The chipset used by the card for video input and video output is the T200 (Theater chipset or something similar).

In XP professional 32 bit i can both send video out and capture video in (my card is both AVIVO / VIVO ) using VLC or VIRTUAL DUB and as far as i remember i have not installed anything particular to make it working.

In Windows Vista 64 bit i can only send video out ....
I CAN NOT CAPTURE ANY VIDEO IN !! Even if i use Windows Media Center or Virtual DUB or Video Lan.

I can see the device in management , and the drivers are installed properly. I have tried all the most recent version of catalyst (from 7.2 to the new 8.7) but all i can see is a black (or green) screen.

In the last image i can read that the driver/device can detect 1 signal and 625 lines, so i guess the driver is not the problem! I would say it's a codec problem but i tried so many of them !

Please help me, is T200 suppose to work with windows vista 64 bit? I am desperate , i am been wandering about this for too long.

I am not an expert, but i want to see tv on my pc.

Really, please help me.

Working with my 650 PCI, & earlier with an AIW 9600, I found that Vista just doesn't work with the same DS filters in the same ways as XP.... a lot of the software I used in XP wanted to use the same DS filters in Vista, and they just won't work. I did get the 650 working for a trial or two by swapping the driver files for XP versions that did work with software I used in XP. There are only 2 files involved for ATI graphics cards with WDM VIVO if you wanted to give it a shot.

Otherwise, best advice would be to hunt up software known to work in Vista, like Beyond and similar.

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem, also using vista64. Found any solution yet Dragone?

I've tried installing xp drivers but with no success so far.
mikiem, could you please explain how you did it?

Thanks

I want to know if someone has managed to acquire video in vista using T200 Unified Stream device .....

No results so far. I tried contacting ATI but it seems they are not interested in making better vista 64 bit support.

This is the only one thing i didn't manage to have working on vista. Shame on ATI. Hauppauge video in works great in vista 64.
Bah

To be honest, I gave up on T200 a few months after Vista's launch. ATI has little to no interest in making T200 work right under Vista x64. They promised support for it and failed to deliver it. BUT, on the plus side, they made up for it with me. I can't say how though, they made me sign an NDA :p

IT WORKS !!!!!!!!!!!

ATI Catalyst 9.2 is out and it includes a new version of the driver for the T200 Chipset !!

06/01/2009
Driver Version 6.14.10.1092

Now i can use AVIVO/VIVO on Vista 64 bit !!! FINALLY !!!!!
