Humankind - Civilization rival from the dev of Endless Space/Legends

Out now.....most re4views giving this a 7 or 8 out of 10.
I love 4x games, and the screenshots look great. Just don't know if I want to drop full price for it. I usually wait 4 or 5 months on new games but this is the genre I love...

Someone get this and let me know what you think.

better yet, get this and gift it to me and I'll tell you what I think :p

It's very different than Civ. I can't say I enjoyed Humankind, because I'm probably so used to the Civ-style gameplay and technology trees that I can't wrap my brain around how Humankind does it. In the end, I got frustrated and uninstalled it after about 4 hours (most of that spent reading the in-game encyclopedia and web sites that tell you how to play the game). It looks pretty, and I can't help but think I gave up too soon, but it just couldn't get past my ADD wall.

Having played through a game now and starting a new one soon and having played previous civilization games, there are some QOL changes needed, but the overall design of the technology and gameplay, especially the battles, I love a lot more. You can actually design your cities around various needs with districts, and the infrastructures enhance everything.

If you want something new, Humankind is a good alternative if you don't mind the learning curve.
