How much should I be getting paid??

Ok, yes, it is WAY off topic, but I have to ask:

I work for a Value Added Reseller (VAR--basically a small computer firm). They are offering me a job as the production manager for a company that does around $5-$7 million a year. The position is pretty much just running a department that builds systems. How much should I be getting paid? Techs can get anywhere from $8 and up. With sales, the sky is the limit. Does anyone work or has worked in this position? Or perhaps someone can guide me to information like that?

Thanks for the help ahead of time.

And btw, I do have a Radeon 64 Vivo!

How old are you, and what experience do you have under your belt? How are you being paid (ie. hour.....)?

The other question I would ask is what part of the country would the job be in?

I am in my mid-twenties. College degree, the usual certifications. Previous managerial experience and my current position is salaried. It's difficult to find anywhere that I can gauge a salary. Dice does not have information in that field. The department is in shambles (sort of) and they pretty much want me to turn things around. However, I dont think that there are going to be any bonuses like I have now. I have made positive impressions in the position I hold so do you think I can press for 5k-10k more than what I am being offered now?

Dude, it would be great to know someone in HR right now...haha

I worked at a shop like that and got paid about $15.00-$20.00 an hour (LA area), but like most of those types of companies they weren't around long and I was out of a job after the owners took the money and run.

Actually, this is one of the most stable VAR's i've seen. It's in California also. I would think that a more stable company would want to retain employees more than a here today gone tomorrow type.
