How does Google Assistant stack up against Siri on an iPhone?

I'm actually hoping Google can make some enormous headway here. I like my iphone, but Siri is horrendous as far as I'm concerned.

Now, I haven't used Assistant yet, but if they can do it better, I'm all for it.

Cortana is already available on iPhone. But, it is not possible to replace Siri in IOS. All other voice assistants run as an app. I wish Apple would just drop their ego and punt Siri and allow 3rd party assistants. It makes tons of sense for them to work with MS and make Cortana the voice assistant for IOS but that would never happen.

I'd rather have a capable app than a rotten baked in feature :p I don't care for Cortana either because MS, but I thought it interesting that Apple would allow the competition this much leeway to begin with.

In general works too ice :)

Others might disagree with me, but Siri is more annoyance than help imo. If the polish google enjoys on other devices can make it's way to the iphone I'll switch.

You can use Siri to open the other apps :)

It is what I do to open up Google and then you can use OK Google hotword and get ACTUAL stuff done.

Yessir, and opening other apps is about all Siri is good for.
 
assisstant is the best thing on my phone.
hand free everything from any screen, even whilst locked.

Google, order me a pizza!
