Ok, we're gonna need some more info to help you! The RAGE IIC is now a very elderly chip (Probably 8 or 9 years, I can't remember exactly) and it was never really a 3d capable chip in the first place...
Please let me know which game you are trying to play and on which OS, then we might be able to get somewhere. :)

This post is in the wrong forum. This forum is for 3D Coders, you'd be better of re-directing your request to the tech support forums or legacy ATi forum.

I hope you didn't pay $200 for your card recently, if so, you've been shafted big time (they sell on e-bay for about $2). That card is incredibly old, and has no relevant 3D capabilities at all. Virtually no games released in the last 4-5 years will work on it.

What are you trying to play on it?

I moved this to the Rage Pro forum.

FYI, the chip says 3D, but it's not. I've never seen a IIC chip actually do any 3D, D3D or OpenGL. Even if it could, it would be pretty damn slow.

Here is ATi's spec sheet description of it's '3D' capabilities:

"32-bit 3D Graphics Acceleration
ATI leads the way in 3D technology and makes it easy to add 3D elements to any multimedia projects or to experience cool 3D gaming action on your PC. Take advantage of an advanced set of 3D features - perspectively correct texturing, video texturing and bilinear/trilinear filtering. And when you're ready for a little fun, ATI lets you experience 3D gaming action on your PC. "

Woohoo! :hmm:

ok i paid like 189 plus tax for a almost ten year old piece of crap ok i am trying to play final fantasy 7 and my os is windows xp profesional amd k6 3D processor
451 megahertz 640 megabytes of ram
i dont know what else will be of assistanse i will be going to the retailer where i paid for the chip that is kinda crappy
thank you for your help

well the FF7 requirements are:
Pentium 133 w/ supported 3D accelerator card (4Mb video memory or greater)
or P166 w/out supported 3D accelerator card (see below)
Intel or 100% Intel-compatible CPU
32 Mb RAM
Windows 95
DirectX 5.1 (see below)
DirectMedia 5.2 (see below)
DirectX-compatible video and audio cards (see below)

so even a Rage IIC should be able to handle that, you should try the program compatibility settings in Windows XP and set it to Windows 95 :)

Bleem.. No way no how on that crappy card. Bleem was barely playable on my Rage LT Pro, which is a better card than yours. I suggest you return that card as soon as possible.
