Help! No AGP With Catalyst !?

i know that ATi has implemented "SMARTGART" to disable AGP etc if needed for Stability, but my system has only ever crashed ONCE, and it was non gfx related

i've been running in AGP 4 and it has been working fine with every other driver up until now

Try running the file atiprbxx.exe /g

its amazing to see that so many folks are having problems with the new drivers from ATi. Agp works fine for me, and its enabled in the direct X panel for XP. I don't benchmark at all, but I have noticed a big difference in performance with games, so far the only i have installed is Morrowind. Aniso in Direct X seems to be working in D3D or is it just my imagination? Must be. My two cents.

thanks, but i'm still having problems

edit: there was an image, but i have problems uploading, will try later

basically, AGP IS enabled in the ATi utility, but NOT in the dxdiagnostics, this leaves me unable to play games, or dvds

I new ATi would've put in something like that into the driver, but they should've made it more accessible

SMARTGART says my AGP is disabled(EVERYTHING OFF!!) when I run "atiprbxx /g", but DX Diagnostics says it's enabled. Which one is it??

pretty impressive. how did you find that one out? I wonder if it was meant to be a hidden setting because i bet its pretty dangerous to play around with those settings.
you must be an ati employee right?
