I almost did with Unreal because of a certain bridge with a large sucking fan. But I asked someone and got across!

I'm finding the rope jumping in Tomb Raider - The Last Revelation a bit challenging (PISSING ME OFF!), but finally got it down.

Anyways if your stuck in a game post it here and maybe somebody might help!

GTA3 and having to destroy those damn booth things in 8min. It's a b!tch :\

Most of time tho I take my time with a game and never pass them because I get board of them :\

With Unreal, I formerly got stuck in areas I could never get out of, or I was trapped...if I couldn't do anything about it; I don't give up; just use the 'ghost' command as a last resort. :p

The final escape from the gas plant in Medal of Honor is really pissing me off right now. It's bloody impossible.

any tips?

I was playin it on Hard... laf, running fast into 3 snipers and 8 guys with machine guns and no where to go just gets you killed faster :p

however I did finally manage it. Helped when I discovered some health behind the table. :)

Drive around the city and spot all the booths so they show up on your map BEFORE you smash the first one. Helps a LOT. The final mission of that game is pretty challenging..

Mysteries of the Sith

Mysteries of the Sith

There is a level in Mysteries of the Sith where you sabatoge the reactor and then escape the planet in a certain time limit before it blows. I always have to cheat to beat it.

I thought you said, "Have you given up on any of your games because you suck?"

I thought you said, "Have you given up on any of your games because you suck?"

..in which case I'd have to say, "No, I just learned how to cheat like hell!"

I really do add a slow-motion key to damn near every FPS I play anymore. At first it was to give me some time to appreciate the intricasies of the world I was in, lately it's just so I can be Neo whenever I'm playing. :)

 @ digitalwanderer!

Just because your stuck, doesn't mean you suck! Unless of course your little brother has to show you how it's done. Then you know you suck.

Regarding Tomb Raider TLR. I've had about enough of these beetle swarms. Is there a BIG can of RAID somewhere that Laura's suppose to find so I can spray all these little bastards?

Baldurs Gate 2 played to the last chapter twice, once to the last chapter with a few side quest left over and two times till i hit mid way through.

My luck the first time i didnt wipe windows drivers' my harddrive gets broke with my save games before i get a chance to save them.

Funny thing is i can breaze right thru icewind dale in about 4 days.

Half Life did that to me, though I suppose I could have done it myself if I chose an easier level of difficulty. I never did beat that game, even cheating. Actually, I suspect the cheating is part of the reason why I couldn't beat it. I got to Xen, and there was this part where I had to get to this little floating platform all by itself and apparently use it to transport somewhere. But when I got there, it was just an invisible wall, and I could never progress any farther. It was weird, but I suppose that's what I get for cheating. :p

I can honestly say that I've never EVER cheated in a multiplayer game, though. Cheating yourself is one thing.. cheating other people is totally different.

Maybe the question should be: "Have you ever given up on a game because it was a pirated version and you got stuck and you couldn't be bothered completing it because you have another pile of pirated games you wanted to play?"

AHH heres something that i doubt ANYONE can help fix :D
even EA tech support didnt konw what was going on.

Anyywas, on the last world of Black and White (i only recently got a hang of this game) My game keeps on getting a error message on the desktop, so my game freezes and i am forced to exit. (cant see error message, have to move mouse till it changes to desktop curser in order to press enter to quit to menu)

always freezes at the EXACT SAME SPOT so im stuck.

And In Baulders Gate, i never passed a certain part of the game (takes too damn long) so then when the game gets unisntalled, never bother to reinstall it because the damn game takes too long at to get to that part its the same damn thing over and over again.

I answear yes to that question :D
I have bought 4 games in my whole life if you dont count console games. This is how I think why bother buying a game that you can complete in 1-2 days for 45$?

Yes, Xen was pretty tough. I forgot the name of the weapon, but I turned around backwards and used alt fire to propelle backwards. You had to charge it up and use the recoil to make it. It was alot of trial and error to get it right. I always saved the game everytime I made a successful landing. I don't remember a invisible wall though.

I always got pissed at that game because my feet would get stuck to elevator floors. I think maybe it was fixed in a later patch (I was using ver 1.0.0.4 I think).

You were using the Gauss gun, and you were gauss jumping (like Q3A's rocket jumping). Cheating is risky in HL, because the game heavily relies on triggers, and if you miss one (by clipping, not picking up an item) you may not be able to continue.

I find that usually, I would give up on a game if a) it was boring (ie., Tomb Raider 3), b) some bug prevented me from going on (ST:DS9 Harbinger). If I was ever stuck gameplay-wise, I'd just shut the game off and do something else for the rest of the day. Eventually, the solution occurs to you. If that fails, there's always GameFAQs. :)

I was once stuck in HL as well, in the part where you run away from the Garguantua in the parking garage, and finally use airstrikes to destroy it. You are supposed to use an airstrike to blast this tower, which will keel over and create a makeshift bridge for you to get over the other side of a ditch to the next level. Thing is, it wouldn't blow up, so I was forced to use noclip. :)

I have a game called Echelon.

It is a really cool game, until I hit the level that I have never been able to get by. Then I start to hate the stupid game. Anyone else no about this game?
