GTX 1070 vs. RTX 2060 Super vs. Radeon 5700 XT

KAC is waiting for you to post the battle of the $1000 (tax free) GPU article.

WOW! This thread is making me want to upgrade my GTX 1070 to an RTX 2060 Super....still wondering how the RTX 2060 Super will perform on my 6700k at stock 4.0GHz clock speed (can't really OC since it already goes to 75*C in CPU heavy games)...

It looks as if Red Dead Redemption 2 can run at 1440p on the 2060 better than my 1070 does at 1080p

Then again....I'm not really in a rush to upgrade unless there is a sale, and if I have another use for my current 1070.

That 5700 XT looks amazing for the price. I've almost always been an NV buyer though...don't know why I would be hesitant to buy AMD. The last one I used Higgy sold me and it did just fine.

edit: Probably just memories of earlier ATI cards giving me grief I guess. Once bitten and all that...

One word? Drivers. nV always has prior to new game release. AMD not always.

Could be, although they seemed pretty stable on the....jeez my memory is shot  Rsomething lol....

I think I may give one a shot when I upgrade early next year....

past for the most that is part other than NV games
and NV has the same problem with AMD games

and 3 words (geforce experience sucks) and the driver UI ( nvidia control panel ) is from like windows 3 :bleh:

AMD Adrenalin 2019 has all game management like (geforce experience) built in to one driver and better UI

if AMD can beat my 2080 ti strix by just 5% to 10% I will buy one just to get rid of NV's 1990's driver UI

and the games themselves don't work on release anymore so you got a few days grace for drivers

5-10% isn't a lot. Why not just go with the company you prefer?

There's nothing wrong with NV control panel though. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. And who the hell wants GeForce experience anyway.. why would I want game management or some crappy auto-detect settings. These are noob options that shouldn't be swaying your decision on a GPU.
