It seems that the Voodoo3's and the Voodoo 5's will not plug into the AGP Slot of the new Pentium 4 motherboards because the 3.3 voltage amount which the Voodoos use is not supported. Only the Voodoo4 and all pci versions are not affected.

Gee I guess 3DFX does NOT think ahead!

...because the V4 uses a universal voltage connector something or other.

Why would any fool want to put a V3/5 in their new P4 system anyway?

guess what our beloved Radeon has some quirks with Pentium 4 as well... it'll be sometime until i would consider P4.. its motherboard chip is probably like the 440FX..

yes, that's a sad thing to discuss... Anyway, why don't u think about the AMD CPU. Like the 1.2GHZ, it's powerhorse is comparable with the P4. And much cheaper!!! Forget about intel, i won't spend $1k to buy only one Giant CUP!!! Save some Bucks to buy a better graphic CARD too!!!

If the V5 6000 were out, I'd take it over a GF2 Ultra or Radeon any day. 3DFX actually offers a little term called support and they seem to understand the term COMPATABILITY. I think 3dfx is a model company both ATI and Nvidia should follow. I didn't mention Matrox because the G800 hasn't even been announced yet, but there just a tad below 3dfx.
