Going on now for 8th year! I hope it has helped you as it helped me keeping my backlogs in check while enjoying my games.

Not every month someone will be finishing a lot, as there are months where a person just can't finish anything. Then you got that streak going in another month.

Also, if you plan to replay the game, it is fine but don't repeat it at a later month as first completion is what counts.

Another thing is the criteria of what is considered completed in unclear games such as team based multiplayer games; I would say set a target for that. E.g. I considered Overwatch completed when I reached level 100. Or when I finished story mode (which was a long movie sequence) in Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. You decide what you consider is completed as long as it is reasonable to a certain extend and correlate-able to a single player experience.

DLC completed at a separate time from the main game and has enough content (+1 hour) can be counted as a separate completion.
Console completions can be accepted as long as the main focus is still PC overall.

Completed Games:
759-Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn
760-Black Myth Wukong

Thanks for the patience. Two games from my side and both have soulslike mechanics:

759-Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn: A regret purchase but still played through it. It is ok but has lots of frustrating moments due to jank. Also the forced DEI and out of place feminism just doesn't serve the game at all.

760-Black Myth Wukong: A contender of GOTY2024. It is a game worth experiencing.

How's your shoulder doing?

Six games this month;
Faraway Escape 3 and Cats in Time - Both lightweight puzzle games from the same studio. Nothing too taxing.
Webbed - Physics based puzzle/action game. A bit frustrating in parts but the web spinning mechanic was pretty good.
Project Wingman - Shallow as can be but looked good in VR.
Paper Trail - Puzzle game. Never really took to the mechanic and in the end solved puzzles more by brute force than anything else.
American Arcadia - Narrative action game. Told the story very well but far too many sudden death moments while you figure out what to do.

Three for me:
  • DOOM 1 (Enhanced, 2024) through Xbox Game Pass. The new music is pretty cool!
  • Counter-Strike 2. Can't ever really "finish" this, but I played a bunch of rounds and had fun with Counter-Strike again, for the first time in years.
  • Cocoon. Highlight of the month as a cool puzzle game. Light on story, not very difficult, but still very neat.

7 for me I think.

Suicide squad
First descendant
MW3 Battle Pass 5
FO4
FO4 Automatron
FO4 Vault tech
FO4 Far harbor

I think that’s it. Might need to double check and will update if I missed something.

How's your shoulder doing?
I managed to recover own weight functionality and motion (95%). Now doing more strengthening physio. My recovery has been faster than average thanks to me maintaining physio even at home. Thanks for asking. Hoping to lift weights in 4 months time.

One.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel - This game was on my backlog for a long time. I purchased it to play with friends almost nine years ago, but then after playing Borderlands 2 I was so burned out on the series that I never ended up going back to it. Overall, if you enjoyed the other BL games, the Pre-Sequel may be worth considering. If you didn't really enjoy them you can probably safely skip it. On the plus side if you wait for a sale and buy one of the bundles you can get the game pretty much dirt cheap, especially if you own any of the previous Borderlands games.

I'll give it a 7/10 for playing co-op. I don't think I would have enjoyed the game solo very much. To be honest, the whole BL series has been kind of lukewarm for me from the beginning.
