Going on now for 8th year! I hope it has helped you as it helped me keeping my backlogs in check while enjoying my games.

Not every month someone will be finishing a lot, as there are months where a person just can't finish anything. Then you got that streak going in another month.

Also, if you plan to replay the game, it is fine but don't repeat it at a later month as first completion is what counts.

Another thing is the criteria of what is considered completed in unclear games such as team based multiplayer games; I would say set a target for that. E.g. I considered Overwatch completed when I reached level 100. Or when I finished story mode (which was a long movie sequence) in Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. You decide what you consider is completed as long as it is reasonable to a certain extend and correlate-able to a single player experience.

DLC completed at a separate time from the main game and has enough content (+1 hour) can be counted as a separate completion.
Console completions can be accepted as long as the main focus is still PC overall.

Completed Games:
745-Contra: Operation Galuga

Still trying to play catch up. One game for April:

745-Contra: Operation Galuga: basically a remake of the classic NES version. Loved that it hard 4 player coop. What sucked is that it wasn't online coop. Other than that, pretty much a fun short burst of Contra fun.

Two for me in April:

Outcast: A New Beginning
It's been a long wait between the original Outcast, and a sequel. It took a remaster, a remake, a failed kickstarter campaign and a twenty five year wait. And even now that it's out, it's obviously "merely" a AA Eurojank kind of title: quirky, pretty, true to its source, but also a little awkward at times. Still, I had a great time revisiting Adelpha, and I'm glad the sequel made it out the door safe and sound.

Titans of Space Plus
Essentially a VR guided tour of our solar system, I mostly played this so my six year old could get a proper glimpse at the planets, now that he's learned about them in school. It's neat, it's cheap, it's one of many cool applications of VR in gaming. Not really a normal "game", but I'll count it anyway.

I think this is the first time Rage3D has been stable from one games completed thread to the next since like 2017 or something. Great work @Dave and @Trunks0 and whoever else worked at reviving it.

1 for me.

Tomb Raider 2013 - Holds up well to modern times IMO. Was surprised at how gory it was, even back then. Some horrifying scenes, and Lara seems made to take beatings as there were at least 5 times where she fell from a great height and crashed through some structure. The mod to remove screen shake was absolutely necessary to make the game playable though.

3 games.

Boltgun, I guess it was an alright painkiller-like game, I think its biggest flaw is that they cranked the dial to 11 too soon, so every level basically was the same encounter-wise as the previous one, as they all play like the last few levels of an episode in an actual boomer shooter.

Kena, neat game, the gameplay is very dated though, I also had some serious performance issues as some effects/shaders seems to tank the performance on the driver I was playing the game on.

Dead Island 2, a very polished 7/10 title.

I think 3 games for me

FF7 Rebirth
FF7 Crisis Core
FF7 Intermission DLC

Like dope

Victory at Sea Ironclads - Badly underdeveloped and far too easy. So much wasted potential.
Sail Forth - Pretty basic but didn't overstay it's welcome.
Botany Manor - Pleasing puzzle game but a bit too much on the easy side.
Return to Grace - Short but decent sci-fi narrative game.
Tails Noir Preludes - Short and stylish but rather unsatisfying.
A Monster's Expedition - A reasonable puzzle game. Worked very well to play in short chunks.

Six though none of them are likely to be remembered for very long.
